• Step #1 – Ensure that your banner ad is appearing on all pages of a targeted site, not just the home page.
If your ad only appears on one page on a website, you may miss out on potential customers and traffic that get to the website through search engines or direct linking. In addition, the home page typically has a lower CTR due to the fact that there will likely be several other advertisements competing with your banner ad.
• Step #2 – Always make sure that your ad is “above the foldâ€Â.
The most important step of advertising is making sure that your banner ad will get noticed. Having an ad “above the fold†(i.e. the banner ad shows before the user scrolls down the page) will triple the amount of people who see your ad.
The more views a banner advertisement gets, the more amount of money you will make. Advertisements were made to be seen, so make sure that every banner ad you create stands out from its competition.
